Terms
Terms for using this site.
Short, in plain English, and about this website rather than about working with Gerode. If you are looking for what governs an engagement, it is not here — it is in the agreement, and clause 08 says why.

What this page covers.
This site is published by Gerode LLC. These terms cover using the site and the material on it. They are written to be read, not to be survived, and there are eight of them.
If something here is unclear, ask rather than guess: Quson@gerodec.com.
Nothing here is advice about your organization.
The framework, the failure signatures, the repairs and the self-assessment are published because a method that only works when its author is in the room is not a method. They are written from the principal’s own practice, generally, for a reader Gerode has never met.
They are not a diagnosis of your organization, and they are not legal, financial, employment or security advice. Deciding what to do with them is your call, made with knowledge of your own situation that this site does not have. Reading anything here, or sending the contact form, does not create an engagement or any obligation on either side.
Using FREE GRID™ in your own organization.
You may. Take the four pillars, the questions, the failure signatures and the repairs and use them inside your own organization, on your own work, without asking and without paying. That is what publishing them is for.
FREE GRID™ is a trademark of Gerode LLC — an unregistered one, which is what the ™ says and why it is not an ®. Using the method is not the same as using the name: do not sell it, teach it commercially, certify anyone in it, or publish it as your own work under that name. If you want to run it for clients, that is a conversation rather than a prohibition — write and ask.
The writing on this site.
The words, the diagrams and the design are Gerode’s. Quote them — in a deck, a memo, an article, a briefing — with attribution to Gerode LLC and, where you can, a link. That is normal and welcome and needs no permission.
Republishing a page wholesale, or presenting this material as your own writing, is not.
What the self‑assessment is, and is not.
It is a structured set of questions that turns your own answers into a starting point. It is not a measurement, not a benchmark against other organizations, not a certification, and not a score anyone else should be shown as evidence of anything.
Nobody is graded by it. It has no comparison group, because there is no dataset behind it and this site will not pretend otherwise.
The prices published here.
The ranges on the engagement pages are the real ranges. Publishing one is information, not a quote: what a specific piece of work costs is agreed in writing before it starts, and scope is what decides where in the range it lands.
Nothing on this site can be bought here. There is no checkout, no deposit and no payment page.
Links to other sites.
A few pages link out. Those sites are not Gerode’s, their content is not Gerode’s responsibility, and their own terms apply once you arrive.
What this page is not.
It is not the terms of an engagement. When Gerode does paid work, the scope, the exclusions, the deliverables, the fee, the payment terms, the confidentiality obligations, the ownership of what is produced and the governing law are all settled in a written agreement signed before the work starts.
Gerode LLC is a Virginia limited liability company, organized 22 September 2023 and on record with the Virginia State Corporation Commission, where it can be looked up by name. That is a fact about the entity, and it is here because a page that tells you what you may not do with a trademark ought to say where the company holding it is registered.
This page still names no governing law, on purpose. That belongs in the engagement agreement, where it can be read by someone who is actually entering into something. A website notice that asserts a jurisdiction it never has to rely on is decoration.
As with the privacy notice, the date at the top is the day this page was last read against what the site actually does. Questions go to Quson@gerodec.com.
